You can definitely hear a big difference in quality of the earlier seasons vs the newer ones. I miss how the early season was based purely on talent and musicality. Now it’s about entertainment. You can hear the auto tune in the mics for the newer seasons and I hate it. I miss the raw, genuine vocals from the performers like in the early season.

Jordan Smith much better than the other men in this video.

After seeing Jesse Campbell hear, it reminded me how underrated Delvin Choice was on S5 (or 6?) . He auditioned with this song too and got 4 chairs and I think both versions were incredible, but I think I'd still have to slightly prefer Delvin's, despite the song being one that was already kind of "put to rest" due to a previous jaw-dropping performance of it on the show. I guess you could say the same for Wrecking Ball for Christina which had been one of the most notable performances on the previous season.

Love all of these performances so much. Christina Grimmie performance will always be my favorite. She was so ahead of her time I remember watching her covers in her room I was so excited to see how far her career would’ve gone. RIP

Judith Hill and Christina Grimmie are the absolute undisputed champions of this lineup! Both have the furthest range of vocality and each rendition of their songs are technically more challenging to execute than the originals.
